At a tournament Saturday I went 2-0 against inverted rubbers, but 0-2 against long pips. So I decided to revisit the results of a tournament I played back in April. Sure enough, I was 0-4 against players using anti-spin or long pip rubbers.
Somehow I still got a good 70 rating points out of the day. But when I figure out how to close out points against pips, I'm going to make an even bigger jump.
UPDATE: The USATT re-rated me after the tournament, so I ended up with a whopping 128-point rating bump.
